Crystal Window & Door Opens Taiwan Subsidiary

Crystal Window & Door Systems, an awardwinning United States manufacturer of windows, doors and high-end fenestration systems, recently announced the opening of a Taiwan subsidiary. Crystal Union Company, based in the capital of Taipei, will provide project design and installation services for curtain wall and architectural windows to the Taiwanese construction and property management industries. Thomas Chen, Crystal Window & Door Systems founder and CEO, and Crystal Union General Manager George (Yang- Tse) Chuang officially launched the new firm with an event at the company's offices at 5F, No. 31 Gui-Lin Rd., Taipei, Taiwan, 10849.

"Having been born in Taiwan, I have always wanted to return and invest in my homeland. This new company will provide extremely high quality sophisticated services and products for the Taiwan construction industry and be an important contributor to the vibrant Taiwanese economy," Chen said.

Crystal Union initially will provide project engineering and installation for both new construction and rehabilitation projects throughout Taiwan. Future plans call for the firm to become truly full service through expansion into the manufacturing and shop fabrication of curtain wall systems and high-end windows. Plans also call for the company to grow beyond Taiwan and become a regional leader by providing its services throughout East Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

To strengthen its technical leadership position in the fenestration industry, Crystal Union has forged important alliances with the Taiwan Technical Institute and the Ting Wall Company. Ting Wall is led by Dr. Raymond Ting, an internationally known designer of a revolutionary, proprietary, design curtain wall system which surpasses current systems in terms of water penetration, ease of assembly, indoor air quality and performance longevity.

"Combining the substantial resources and experience of Crystal Window & Door Systems USA with the initiative and technical expertise of our Taiwanese professional staff assures Crystal Union in Taipei of a great and prosperous future," George Chuang, general manager for the Taipei operation, said.

Crystal Union Company provides product R&D, project engineering design and installation services for curtain wall and architectural window systems throughout Taiwan. The company is headquartered in Taipei and is a subsidiary of the Crystal Global Group and Crystal Window & Door Systems.
